UnCommons: Placemaking in Las Vegas
Join the principals responsible for bringing UnCommons to life for insights on the development of this award-winning mixed-use project. The packed program will include a walking tour, followed by a networking reception. Topics include:
- Creative: Hear how placemaking was driven by the human-centered design and the importance of adding food-and-beverage component and other elements to create a walkable neighborhood.
- Capital: Find out what it takes to finance an $800M speculative project, trends in office financing and it’s impact on mixed-use developments, and strategies to protect against development risk.
- Construction: Learn about addressing design challenges to meet budgets; working under uncertain circumstances such as inflation, supply chain, and a global pandemic; strategy for tenant improvements and rising costs; and lessons learned while building a city within a city.
